Visit MEN at Avionics Europe in Amsterdam
MEN Mikro Elektronik will exhibit at Avionics Europe on March 24 and 25 in Amsterdam and would like to invite you to visit us on booth D19.
MEN develops and produces rugged and mission-critical computer boards and systems up to safety levels DAL A (aircraft in-flight equipment) and SIL 4 (onboard vehicle equipment).
The conference, now in its 8th year, has the envious title of the premiere conference for avionics.
The show provides all aspects of avionics technology. The exhibitors will showcase their latest knowledge and share business ideas shaping the future of the aviation industry.
MEN's First CompactPCI® Serial SBC
The G20 is MEN's first 64-bit CompactPCI® Serial single-board computer. Thanks to the new, extremely fast Intel® Core™ i7 processor, it reaches a base frequency of 2.53 GHz. In addition, the processor supports the Intel® Turbo Boost technology, which enables a maximum turbo frequency of 3.2 GHz dependent on the workload.
The board is perfectly suited for applications requiring a high computing power, for example in transportation, industrial automation or power generation.
The G20 offers a total of 8 PCI Express® lines for fast communication. In addition, the board has an excellent graphics performance which can be accessed via two DisplayPorts at the front of the G20. These are well suited for infotainment applications and can also be used as HDMI or DVI ports using external adapters. Two PCIe®-driven Gigabit Ethernet and two USB 2.0 interfaces are also available on the board front.
Thanks to the new CompactPCI® Serial standard the board offers a multitude of serial interfaces via rear I/O. 8 USB, 6 SATA, a Display or HDMI port (instead of one port at the front), 5 PCI Express® x1, a PEG x8 and a PEG x4 port are provided for the user's applications.
The G20 is equipped with a new fast 8 GB DDR3 ECC SDRAM which is soldered against shock and vibration. A CompactFlash® and a microSD™ card slot connected via one USB interface can be used for extending the memory capacity.
Equipped with special components of the Intel® Embedded Line, the G20 has a guaranteed minimum availability of 7 years.
CompactPCI® Serial SATA HDD/SSD Shuttle
The G501 is a CompactPCI® Serial hard disk drive carrier board. It is designed to carry a 2.5" SATA hard disk drive (RAID level depending on the CPU) or a solid state drive.
The unit's front panel features LEDs that signalize the board's SGPIO status while a fourth indicates the status of the internal controller's power supply.
Intel® based CompactPCI® PlusIO SBC
The F19P is MEN's first CompactPCI® PlusIO SBC with Intel® architecture. Equipped with Intel®'s Core 2 Duo SP9300 down to the Celeron® M722 and with a power dissipation between 5.5 and 25 Watts, the 32-bit/33-MHz SBC was especially developed for embedded applications with high requirements regarding performance, reliability and low power dissipation.
The F19P offers a multitude of I/O. According to the PICMG 2.30 standard four USB 2.0, four fast SATA/SAS, four PCI Express® x1 links as well as one Gigabit Ethernet are available via the J2 rear I/O connector. In addition, the F19P supports seven PCI Express® x1 links for fast communication, three for onboard Ethernet and four x1 or one x4 links via rear I/O or a special side card.
The F19P is backwards compatible to the SBC family F14 to F18: Graphics via VGA, two Gigabit Ethernet and two USB 2.0 are available on the board front. Additional functions like digital video inputs via DVI, a multitude of UARTs, USBs, SATA or HD audio can be used via the connection of special extension cards.
Being equipped with the new fast DDR3 DRAM which is soldered against shock and vibration, with a robust CompactFlash® and a MicroSD card, the SBC offers nearly unlimited space for application data.
Equipped with special components of the Intel® Embedded Line, the F19P has a guaranteed minimum availability of 7 years.
PowerPC® based CompactPCI® PlusIO SBC
The F50P is controlled by an MPC8548 PowerPC® processor with clock frequencies between 800 MHz and 1.5 GHz. The SBC is equipped with ECC-controlled, soldered-on DDR2 RAM for data storage, with up to 16 GB of solid-state Flash disk for program storage as well as industrial FRAM and SRAM.
It provides up to three Gigabit Ethernet channels, six USB ports, up to two SATA interfaces and up to 64 user-definable I/O lines controlled by an optional onboard FPGA. These interfaces can be combined in many variations and are available at the front or at the rear using the board's J2 connector. The J2 pin assignment and connector type are in compliance with the PICMG 2.30 CompactPCI® PlusIO standard - the migration path towards CompactPCI® Serial. Two USB and two RJ45 Ethernet connectors are already provided at the front panel, and space is left for an optional VGA connector.
The F50P is designed for operation in a conduction or convection cooled environment.
CompactPCI® PlusIO Transition Module
The CT12 is a 3U CompactPCI® transition module for use in combination with MEN's PICMG 2.30-based single-board computers.
It is plugged onto J2 of the CompactPCI® backplane system slot from the rear side and leads the rear-panel serial I/O signals to standard connectors.
The signals are two Gigabit Ethernet, four PCI Express® x1 links, four USB and four SATA interfaces as defined by the PICMG 2.30 CompactPCI® PlusIO specification.
In addition the board is equipped with a +5V power supply connector for USB and PCI Express® reset.
